Tim Ahern (03) 1st Team All Kingco. Tim plays baseball for Bellevue Community College.

Anthony Berhold (03) Anthony plays baseball for Gonzaga University.

Ben Campbell (03) 2nd Team All Kingco. Ben plays baseball for the University of Washington.

Adam Nutley (03) Adam pitches for Shoreline Community College.

Tim Pickard (03) Tim pitches for Scottsdale Community College in Arizona.

Nick Whitworth (03) 1st Team All Kingco. Honorable Mention All State. Nick is pitching for Edmonds Community College.

Bryan Yates (03) 2nd Team All Kingco. Bryan is playing baseball for Clemson University.

Class of 2002

Ian Farmer (02) 1st Team All Kingco. Ian is currently pitching for the Columbia Basin Hawks.

Adam Hicks (02) Adam is attending Scottsdale Community College in Arizona and starting at 3rd base for the Artichokes. Their schedule includes over 40 games in Arizona, with teams from Kansas, Illinois and Idaho among others coming to town.

Brett Upchurch (02) 2nd Team All Kingco. Brett plays football for Western Washington University.

Mike Wenzel (02) Mike attends George Fox University in Newburg, Oregon and is currently a reserve catcher.

Class of 2001

Jon Calmes (01) Honorable Mention All Kingco. Jon was drafted in the 32nd Round by the Milwaukee Brewers and is currently pitching for the Columbia Basin Hawks.

Blake Hawksworth (01) Honorable Mention All Kingco. Blake was selected in the 28th Round by the St. Louis Cardinals. Blake signed with the Cardinals after a successful season at Bellevue Community College.

Kyle Larsen (01) All State 1st Base for Washington State, All Kingco 1st Team 1st Base, Eastlake High MVP for baseball. Kyle was drafted in the 14th Round by the Mets. He is currently attending the University of Washington and playing 1st Base.

Andy Sisco (01) All State as a pitcher for Washington State. 2nd Team All Kingco. Andy was drafted as a pitcher in the second round, number 46 overall, by the Chicago Cubs and signed with the Cubs.

Class of 2000

Kelby Olson (00) Honorable mention All Kingco 2000. Kelby attended Northern Iowa State on a baseball scholarship, then transferred to Northern Iowa Area Community College.

Steve Ramsey (00) Steve was All State 1st base for 2000, All Kingco 1st base and Kingco batting champ for 2000. He was drafted in the 43rd round by the Florida Marlins. He is presently playing for the UW Huskies as the DH and in the outfield.

T. Montgomery (00) Was All Kingco 1st Team as an outfielder. He is a sophomore at the University of Hawaii and plays for the Rainbow.

Bert Vigeland (00) Was 2nd team All Kingco as a pitcher. He attended Central Arizona Community College and pitched for the 2000 - 2001season. Bert is at Scottsdale Community College.

Shaun Parthemer (00) Shaun attended PLU and pitched for the Lutes.

Class of 1999

Chad Coder (99) Chad played baseball at Edmonds CC and then for Clemson University.

Chad Orvella (99) Chad played for Columbia Basin College and then North Carolina State.

Karl Lehrman (99) Attended Bellevue CC on a baseball scholarship and then attended the University of Arizona.

Matt Sorenson (99) Matt played baseball for the University of Puget Sound.

Matt Berry (99) Matt plays quarterback for BYU..

Class of 1998

Matt Brewer (98) Matt played shortstop for Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA.

Eric Focht (98) Eric was All State 1st base for Washington in 1998. He went on to play for the Lassen CC Cougars and later received a baseball scholarship to Indiana Tech where he completed his college baseball career in 2002. He was named the 2002 Player of the Year for the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference and MVP for Indiana Tech. He also played in the 2002 NAIA World Series. In 2002, he batted .429 with 18 homeruns and 81 RBI's. He was an Honorable Mention NAIA All American. Eric is currently working as a coach at Indiana Tech.

Brandon Ridge (98) After catching for EHS for three years, Brandon went on to Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, for a year. Brandon is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard and living with his wife Kendra in Port Townsend, WA.

Class of 1997

Zack Brewer (97) Zack went on to play ball at Lewis & Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho.

Erik Fortner (97) Erik went on to play for 2 years at Bellevue Community College as a starting pitcher, then continued at Central Washington University.

Chris Lindsey (97) Chris went on to play outfield at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.

Mike Shane (97) Mike went on to play baseball at San Diego State College in California.

Aaron Vanderwarka (97) Aaron went on to play outfield for Spokane Falls Community College.

Ben Vigeland (97) Played and pitched for Spokane Falls C.C. for two years. He played for the University of Arizona in Tucson for the 2000 season.

Class of 1996

Gavin Hare (96) Played for Spokane Falls C.C. and at the University of Portland.

Chris Pelekoudas(96) Chris played at the University of Arizona, and was drafted by the Mariners in the 1996 free agent draft. At U of A he was undergraduate assistant coach for the baseball team and graduated in Spring 2001.

Brant Ust (96) After his first year a A-ball at Oneonta, Brant returned to Notre Dame to complete his first semester of his senior year before reporting early to spring training (2-16). His mini camp performance and subsequent spring training play promoted him to the AA Jacksonville spring training camp in the Detroit Tigers organization. He has signed a AA/AAA contract and is currently playing at Lakeland, Florida.

Class of 1995

Jeff Sakamoto (95) Jeff went on to play at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma as starting catcher. After starting a family with wife Andrea and son, Colton, he transferred to Oregon State University and was a starting catcher for the Beavers. Jeff graduated in 2000.

Ole Vigeland (95) Ole played for WSU for three years and was drafted in the 15th round by the Texas Rangers as a pitcher after his junior year. He has pitched for the Savannah Sandgnats and the Port Charlotte Rangers. He is currently working as a coach with the Washington State Cougars.


 

 

 

Dick Bass - First Eastlake Head Coach

 

Dick Bass is a native of the Bay area and a graduate of Gonzaga University, where he played outfield. Drafted into professional baseball, Dick played 2nd base for the Oakland A’s and Chicago Cubs organizations. Dick has been coaching since he was 15 years of age. He has coached teams in American Legion, Sandy Koufax and other leagues. He was the head baseball coach at Eastlake for four years beginning with the '94 season.
