Both the field and the game just slipped away from Eastlake as they lost to the Lake Washington Kangaroos during a wet night game at Peter Kirk Park. Brandon Eggers tried to improve on his 3-0 record with 4 1/3 innings giving up 3 hits but taking 5 strikeouts. Nick Whitworth entered in relief and put up 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. Kyle Walther scored Eastlake’s RBI in the 3rd inning, but the Kangs tied it up in the 4th and scored their winning run in the 5th inning. Tim Ahern had a double and 2 walks. Tim also pulled off a 2-3 double play while catching. Joel Newberry was 2 for 3 at the plate with a double.

Eastlake plays Garfield on their home field Monday.
