Eastlake 1, Redmond 0

In what amounted to a great pitching duel with excellent defensive support, Eastlake prevailed over Redmond under the lights at Hartman Park. Ian Farmer pitched 5 flawless innings against Redmond’s Jesse Fergusen giving up only 1 hit and racking up 10 strikeouts. Tim Pickard came in for relief with no outs and 2 men on base in the 6th and effectively shut down Redmond’s attempts to get on the scoreboard. George Vigeland hammered a 2-out double to center field in the 5th inning to score the only run in the game. Brett Upchurch launched a 2-out double in the first inning, and made two impressive defensive catches in right field; the first in inning 1 with a throw to home that snuffed out a potential Redmond run and the last in the bottom of the 7th inning to end the game.

Hitters George Vigeland and Brett Upchurch with pitchers Tim Pickard and Ian Farmer were key players in Eastlake's 1-0 victory over Redmond.
