              Eastlake 4, Franklin 2 In a frigid heartstopper, Eastlake staged a come-from-behind victory over Franklin to keep 
              its undefeated record intact.  The game marked Eastlake�s first on 
              its home field this year.  A platoon of pitchers kept Franklin 
              batters swinging and mostly missing.  Matt Garrett was the 
              starting pitcher going 2 innings, ringing in 1 strikeout and 5 
              ground ball hits leading to outs.  Adam Goetsch pitched the 3rd 
              inning and dialed in 3 strikeouts.  Brandon Eggers took the mound 
              in the 4th, striking out 2 batters in 3 innings before 
              Ryan Focht racked up a save with 2 strikeouts in the 7th 
              inning.   Eastlake bats came alive in the 
              5th inning as Eastlake was down 2-0.  Adam Hicks hit a 
              double, quickly followed by a double and RBI by Brett Upchurch, 
              who also hit a triple in the 3rd inning.  Ryan Focht, 
              the designated hitter, followed with a double and RBI.  Then Kyle 
              Walther launched a 2 run homer over the left center fence to score 
              the third and fourth runs of the game.    |
