In a fast-paced game that seemed to end too soon, Redmond edged out Eastlake in the first game of the second round in the Kingco playoffs on the Inglemoor H.S. field. Brandon Eggers went 4 1/3 innings for the Wolves giving up 6 hits and 3 walks with 4 strikeouts. Tim Pickard went 1 2/3 innings in relief giving up 1 hit and taking 1 strikeout.

Eastlake matched Redmond at the plate with 7 hits each. Ben Campbell was 2 for 4 with an RBI and scored a run. Kyle Walther, back in the game after his collision injury Saturday, was 1 for 3. Brett Upchurch was 2 for 4 and scored a run. Joel Newberry had a triple and 2 RBIs. Nick Whitworth was 1 for 2 with 1 run scored.
