Nick Whitworth
pitched a complete game with 9 strikeouts for the win against a good
Juanita team. Eastlake only had 3 hits but was
able to score just enough runs to win the game. Ben
Campbell and Bryan Yates each hit an RBI double in the first
inning. Ted Hickey had a single and scored 2 runs. Ben Campbell
and L.P. Angelo also scored. Tim Ahern hustled to reach base on an
error by Juanita in the bottom of the sixth that scored the tying
and go ahead runs for Eastlake. Then Eastlake held Juanita
scoreless in the seventh for the win.
